In the second sentence of the RD, you use "the highway" twice. One instance of this should be substituted.

"MD 23 was one of the state numbered highways assigned in 1927." -- This sounds like an awkward way to state the fact that the road was designated in 1927. Is there any way you could reword this?
In the auxiliary routes section, is it possible to use more specific dates for when the roads were constructed?
I put 1963 for the year and used the same year's map to reference that because that is when East–West Highway is shown as complete. VC 20:52, 4 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
