NPOV tag added
Most of the article comes from a source with a vested interest. Significantly, it appears to intend the pronoun "our" to refer to the subject matter rather then to Wikipedia, was written by someone whose job function is to promote the college, and seems to be a cut-and-paste from other promotional materials.
- It appears as of today that most of those edits have been eliminated. Is the tag still necessary? BTW, everyone should sign all their edits using four tildes ~~~~. --Morenooso (talk) 00:50, 18 March 2010 (UTC)

Expansion controversy
I have attempted to be neutral in my writing about the expansion. I look forward to additional contributions, particularly as to any legal challenges to the ballot initiative.I ♥ ♪♫ (talk) 04:44, 13 July 2010 (UTC)

I have changed the header "Expansion Controversy" to "Marymount Plan Ballot Initiative." This more accurately describes the current, short-term issue. - mccormick915 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mccormick915 (talk • contribs) 22:09, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
- The expansion controversy section covers the expansion plans over the course of time and barely mentions the ballot initiative. It is properly sourced and NPOV. The major revision to the article undertaken recently is completely without attribution or sources and is unverifiable, It reads line a promotional brochure. Thank you, I have begun to source and I am providing information that is factual, including the overview of the college and its history. This is accurate information about the college, which is the main purpose of the Marymount College wiki page. - Reversion justification - I am sorry but the purpose of wikipedia is not factual accuracy or truth it is WP:VERIFIABILITY. Along with verifiability comes reliable sources see WP:RELIABLE and WP:NPOV. I understand what you are trying to do but citing a primary source (Marymounts own web site) and citing wikipedia as a source are both in conflict with wikipedia guidelines. I will work with you on improving the article if you like. I am not opposed to making the article more encyclopedic. That is the purpose of wikipedia. I am also not an opponent of the expansion plans. If you find fault with the things included in this article find more reliable sources that explain the situation better. But read the reliable sources guidelines first. I'm sorry but I must revert your additions as they do not follow wikipedia guidelines and you have deleted content that does follow the guidelines. Work with me on this. I ♥ ♪♫ (talk) 01:28, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
The content that was deleted sourced to the college catalog which, according to WP:RELIABLE is a reliable source, as stated: "Reliable sources may therefore be published materials with a reliable publication process." For an example of this, please view Harvard University or any other university page. The college catalog (or Student Handbook) is used consistently as a reliable source on university pages. 12.52.45.140 (talk) 16:05, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
Edit Warring
It is disingenuous to claim that the recent reversions were about deleting the properly sourced description of the college. A simple review of the history page will reveal the users Kellycurtis, 68.48.87.125 and Mccormick915 have all been intent on deleting the Expansion controversy section of the article. Even after attempts to engage them and changing the name to Expansion plans, the deletions continued. Toward the end the edits became more sophisticated but each time centered on deleting the expansion section. I suggest those three users, who have contributed to this article and no others, have the same agenda and might be the same person masquerading as a sock puppet.I ♥ ♪♫ (talk) 02:05, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
You are being disingenuous in pretending that the content warring is limited to the "Expansion Plans" section of the page. Content was put up that specifically referenced programs at the college and was sourced appropriately. Why was that content deleted by you? --69.61.209.40 (talk) 13:59, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

Removal of the Expansion Plans section
I would like to suggest that the "Expansion Plans" section be substaintially reduced and placed under the "History" section. The current "Expansion Plans" is the largest section of an article meant to be a general article about a College. Also, these expansion plans were rejected, so specific details on this topic have become obscure. Current expansion plans of the College, if any, would be relevant.

Edits to History section
An IP editor is repeatedly copying text from Loyola Marymount University that is almost entirely unsourced, replacing the sourced History section of this article. Per WP:BRD, please discuss and gain consensus for the proposed changes on this talk page rather than continually reverting them back into the article. I am starting this talk page section to hopefully encourage discussion from them. DanCherek (talk) 04:46, 5 November 2021 (UTC)
