The "Bay State"
editI'd be interested to know whether the nickname "Bay State" really does (as we assert) refer to Narragansett Bay, Buzzards Bay, and Cape Cod Bay, not only to Massachusetts Bay. I had always assumed that since it was the Massachusetts Bay Colony and later the Province of Massachusetts Bay before turning into the state/commonwealth of Massachusetts, the nickname is just a nod to Massachusetts Bay. 65.213.77.129 (talk) 14:04, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
