editThe comment that overhand pitching was not allowed in "Major league baseball" until 25 years later us historically inaccurate as there was nothing being played at the times of the adoption of either "Massachusetts" or "New York" rules in 1858 that was either referred to at the time or subsequently recognized as Major League Baseball, nor would there be such until the beginning of the National Association, recognized by the Baseball Encyclopedia as the first major league, years later. 2600:1004:B12B:F30F:55F7:39EE:45D4:437 (talk) 22:27, 28 November 2016 (UTC)
