- Note: This is my first GA review and I am taking this as I am looking to learn more about reviewing GANs and would like practice—this is a short nomination. Excited to learn something :) 𓃦LunaEatsTuna (💬) 00:43, 13 November 2022 (UTC)
- Short but sweet! Please ping me once you have addressed my concerns. I will put the article on hold for now but this should not take long. Also, no hard feelings if you wish to respectfully disagree with any of my points. We can work it out :) Goodluck, 𓃦LunaEatsTuna (💬) 01:59, 13 November 2022 (UTC)
- Looks ready to pass now—
let us see if I can figure out how. Congrats on a 363 word GA! 𓃦LunaEatsTuna (💬) 23:05, 14 November 2022 (UTC)

: license okay, valid non-free use rationale and downscaled image;File:Massena Terminal Railroad Bridges.jpg
: license okay, CC-BY-SA 2.0 and of fair quality;File:1950 Census Enumeration District Maps - New York (NY) - St. Lawrence County - Massena - ED 45-56 to 70 - NARA - 24519683.jpg
(quite a mouthful, huh?): license okay, public domain file. There are quite a lot of images and templates compared to this article's fairly short length, do you reckon this map is absolutely necessary?- You raise a good point here. I've merged the routemap template into the infobox, do you think that helps save space enough? Trainsandotherthings (talk) 18:14, 14 November 2022 (UTC)
- Much better. 𓃦LunaEatsTuna (💬) 23:05, 14 November 2022 (UTC)

Text
editThe two citations in the lead are okay as used in-line with MOS:CITELEAD.
- "Shortline holding company Genesee & Wyoming acquired the railroad in 2012" suggest "Shortline holding company Genesee & Wyoming acquired Massena Terminal Railroad in 2012". This may be personal taste, but the previous and next sentence both also use the railroad and this may make it sound smoother?
- Changed to "The Massena Terminal Railroad". Trainsandotherthings (talk) 18:14, 14 November 2022 (UTC)
- "The MSTR hauled around" is inconsistent with the rest of the article which uses the initialism MTR instead.
- Good catch, fixed. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 18:14, 14 November 2022 (UTC)
References
editThe refs are okay and support the article's content. Accepting ref 2, a physical magazine which I do not have a copy of, in good faith.
- Citations 1 and 10 use an inconsistent date format (DMY) than the other references, which use hyphenations. Per MoS, it is okay to not hyphenate citations 2 and 5, but the others should be consistent. Easy fix but it is up to the nominator to choose a format.
- I have added the Use MDY dates template to the article which resolved this. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 18:14, 14 November 2022 (UTC)
- Recommend archiving the web sources (non-books) where possible.
- I tried this and it isn't working for me. It runs the analysis but does nothing to the article. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 18:14, 14 November 2022 (UTC)
- Oops! I added them manually. 𓃦LunaEatsTuna (💬) 23:05, 14 November 2022 (UTC)
