editI came to check the term used in Germany - Jägermeister - we have an article on the drink and the German Wikipedia entries seem to suggest that the term was only in use in the Nazi era. Can someone add the appropriate article for use in 18th century German context. (I have a source that has the following "Hier informierte ihn der Gräflich Stolberg-Wernigeröder Oberforstmeister Friedrich Wilhelm Christian von (dem) Hagen (1754-1827), Nachfolger des Oberforst- und Jägermeisters Hans Dietrich von Zanthier (1717-1778) in den dortigen Forsten, über die erfolgreiche Bewirtschaftung der gräflichen Waldungen nach den Plänen von Forstmeister Johann Georg von Langen (1699-1776) und von Zanthier." ).
