recent edits
editA number of recent edits replaced sections that I deleted. Please review Wikipedia policy. These sections fall under the WP:NOR and WP:NPOV. Thanks for working on this interesting article.Daniel J. Leivick 20:00, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

Restoration the "Dealing with Mat Rempits" section
editSomeone has removed the section from this article. For me, it is an essential section because it tells how public and the authorities should deal with the Mat Rempits, rather than simply rebranding them as "Mat Cemerlang" as suggested by Khairy Jamaluddin, which is totally nonsense. I'll restore the section and add some references to the section for proof.
If there's anyone who objects this restoration, please tell me the reasons rather than simply removing the section. Hezery99 02:56, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
Now I see - section vandalized
editWhen I was editing to restore back the section, I found out at the history log that before the section was deleted, it was heavily vandalized. Now I am relieved for being able to bring back the section together with a reference. Hezery99 02:56, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
Misconception of Mat Rempit
editI don't think this section should be remove as we know most the public not really get the meanings of Mat Rempit than a ordinary motorcyclist. Yet Khairy Jamaluddin mission probably is to help those poor background/low income group of people that using this underbone motorcycle. He not really means to help all the Mat Rempit which did't obey the law or involve in crime.
- These sections have no source and have a distinict point of view. Please see WP:NPOV and WP:ATT. Currently it reads like an essay. --Daniel J. Leivick 15:14, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
- I agree with Daniel. The section (in fact, the whole page) sounds like an opinion piece. __earth (Talk) 15:32, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
- Agree with you guys too. That section sounds more like an essay of own opinion rather than description.Hezery99 02:15, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
- Some part of the article don't have any source yet it can witness all over around the road. The section of modification, common Mat Rempit's motorcycle, trick & lingo also don't have any source.. (UTC)
- The mod section should probably go too. Witnessing something cannot be used as a source. --Daniel J. Leivick 16:33, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
- So just deleted all the entire page on wikipedia, you can spot thousand of article in wikipedia without any source. eg: Bōsōzoku
- Actually read the references section in the Bōsōzoku page, it looks like it is pretty well referenced, but you are right lots of stuff is unreferenced and some of it probably should be deleted especially if it is controversial. Please read some of Wikipedia policy like WP:ATT. --Daniel J. Leivick 14:44, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
Fixed up some of the English. Some of the interesting bits mentioned earlier were removed, though. I don't see any sign of them.124.171.225.121 07:51, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
I thought the etymology of Mat Rempit comes from the word "Rempuh dan Himpit" << This is more likely than "ramp it"... because the nature of Bahasa Melayu has a tendency to meld phrases into new words.. This is a typical characteristic of Bahasa Melayu. Example: "kugiran" from the 60's mean 'kumpulan gitar rancak'. Maybe needs editing.
Also, the word "Mat" comes from Muhammad, and is not derogatory. 'Mat' is a generic Malay name, the equivalent of the English 'John'. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.165.90.30 (talk) 16:19, 27 June 2012 (UTC)
Renaming Mat Rempit
editShall we renamed 'Mat Rempit' as 'Mat Bodoh'? Because they're simply stupid and do not deserved to be called 'Rempit'
No. We should call them 'Mat Nak Mampus'. Everytime when I see them while driving.. I just wish all of them dead! Kulim (talk) 08:30, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page
editCyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.
