Purchase
editHow can anyone purchase land from the Municipality of Shefferville? Who are "the municipality"? Where those some settlers, who caimed owning the land? This needs some clarification. --178.198.6.56 (talk) 10:43, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
- Land is either owned privately or by government. And as for government, there are different levels/jurisdictions (federal, provincial, municipal) that can own the land. So buying land from government is common and anyone can do that, including other levels of government. In this case, it was the federal government that bought land owned by the municipality (or municipal corporation) and added it to the reserve. -- P 1 9 9 • TALK 14:25, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
