Unfortunately, the "fact" referenced for DYK is bogus, or at least misleading. Even if the reference is accurate, Vrela is merely one of the deepest known underwater caves, none of which are remotely in a class with the real speleological monsters that deserve the title "deepest in the world." I also have distinct reservations about that reference. Has a comparable statement been made in a source that isn't engaging in tourism puffery?
