Name
editI've moved the article to Celestin Medović as that is the name by which he is mainly known. For evidence, a simple Google search for "Celestin Medović" yields 1,950 results, "Mato Celestin Medović" 882, "Celestin Mato Medović" 263 and "Mato Medović" 217. Timbouctou 11:04, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
That seems fine, as long as both variations find the information, it's not a big deal. FWTW, art sources tend to refer to him as Mato Celestin Medovic, and his signature appeared to be MC Medovic. Farscot (talk) 16:49, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
On second thoughts, I feel quite strongly that the name of the article ought to be Mato Celestin Medović, Google results notwithstanding. All the art references use that form, including the museums and galleries that hold his work, exhibition brochures, the art colony and gallery that bear his name in Kuna, newspaper articles and a host of other reputable sources, including Igor Zidic, the art historian. And look at the name on the statue: [[1]]. Farscot (talk) 22:29, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
- OK. IMO the crucial thing is what he called himself, and if he signed his paintings as MC Medović than it's fine with me. Timbouctou 11:20, 20 November 2010 (UTC)
