Posthumous Matt Christopher books

edit

I added that new section comprising mainly the current general Note from LC Authorities: Christopher, Matt, 1917-1997 (which is the one External link here) and for illustration a bulleted list of all seven books ("Browse... LC Online Catalog" hits) that carry Date 2002.

Probably this article belongs in Category:Collective pseudonyms.

Stephanie True Peters (1965-01-16) "editor of the Matt Christopher line of sports books"

I added Peters to the article, now the closing sentence: "Stephanie True Peters of Beverly, Massachusetts is the series editor (2014)[10] and the writer of about fifteen Matt Christopher books since 2000."
Source for the latter is my LCCatalog count. 'Matt Christopher' appears in about 15 of the 71 search report listings for Peters, in effect a linked index to the 71 catalog records (which include some duplicate titles). At least one other book she has written is a Matt Christopher, I know from visiting the catalog record for one likely title, namely The Olympics: unforgettable moments of the games [Text written by Stephanie Peters].[1] --where boldface marks the text of the search report listing and does not mention 'Matt Christopher'.

Coed soccer series

edit

Evidently [ref name=hachette] and [ref name=about] provide two versions of an autobiographical statement by Matt Christopher from 1992 or so. The latter version on the Matt Christopher website lacks this paragraph from the former version now in the Internet Archive.

(quote Christopher 1992(?), emphasis mine) "I'm excited about a future project -- a new first chapter series featuring a coed soccer team. Soccer has become a very popular sport throughout the country for both boys and girls. Each book will be written from the viewpoint of a different character, like the Peach Street Mudders series. Like most of my books, the main characters not only want to play the game but also have a personal problem that, in most cases, affects their playing."

Did Christopher write, or begin, that projected series?
