He was on the active roster. This is different from 40-man roster or being on the injured list. He was actually in the dugout as an active player briefly in 2015. Tim Lahey never appeared in a game in 2008 and is a phantom ball player and we have 2008 Phillies in his info box. Let’s be consistent. Capriaf (talk) 11:16, 3 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
We are consistent. Only teams players play for get added to the infobox. Tim Lahey should not be listed either and since YOU were the one who added it there against consensus you really should not be citing it as an example of consistency. Spanneraol (talk) 15:46, 3 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
Spanneraol, Tim Lahey was a noted Phantom ballplayer. He had it because he was on the active roster and was warming up in the bullpen during one of the games he was eligible for. I got scolded for editing Freddie Freeman prematurely and was told opening day roster before gets the dodgers. It's being consistent as he was on the actual active roster. It's not like Danny Duffy and the dodgers last year when Duffy spent his dodgers tenure on IL or Robinson Cano sitting out all of 2021 because of a suspension. You don't need to play, you need to be on the active roster. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.74.53.123 (talk) 17:44, 4 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
Freeman didn't have the team added until he played on opening day. You are simply wrong.. the info box teams include teams that they played for only. Phantom Ballplayers don't get added, just check anyone else on that list. Spanneraol (talk) 20:13, 4 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
