The result of the move request was: moved to Max (American dog). There was clear consensus to move the article away from its current title, but a wide variety of proposed destinations. Of these destinations, the strongest argument was advanced in favor of Max (American dog): it was noted that this style of disambiguation would be WP:CONSISTENT with the style used by Fido (Italian dog). (Max (American dog) also achieved the greatest amount of numerical support.) With both numbers and policy on the side of Max (American dog), I see this discussion as resulting in a consensus for that title.

I have chosen not to move Max (English Springer Spaniel), due to WP:RMCI#Only move involved pages; if participants wish to move that article to Max (British dog) or another title, they may open an RM at any time. Max (dog)Max (29-year-old dog)Incomplete disambiguation with Max (English Springer Spaniel), Max (2015 film), and a character in How the Grinch Stole Christmas! (apparently). Some other options: Max (long-living dog), Max (geriatric dog), Max (terrier mix), Max (dog, born 1987) (if we should be saying that in wikivoice), Max (dog, died 2013). None is perfect, but all better than the present title. Hameltion (talk | contribs) 20:57, 26 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
