Name
editIn international press and announcements, he is simply Cencic, example. Should we use that - as the common name - as the article title? I will move in a week if nobody objects. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:42, 13 December 2017 (UTC)
As I can't move, I need help. Graham87? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:00, 5 January 2018 (UTC)
- I did so to the name with accents on it without a hitch, but didn't realise that you wanted those taken off too. (You should've been able to move it to the "Max Cencic" name too; I don't really understand why you couldn't. For what it's worth, I favour retaining the accents, as their use in titles is standard across Wikipedia. Graham87 08:53, 5 January 2018 (UTC)
- I wasn't clear, "Emanuel" should stay, but in opera programs and reviews, it's consistently Cencic, without diacritics, [1] [2] (2017) [3] [4] (2010). --Gerda Arendt (talk) 23:04, 5 January 2018 (UTC)

- The source stated actually says "und die Countertenöre Max Emanuel Cencic.." not Max. Re de-Croatianisation, all in favour when he adopts Austrian citizenship, but has he hasn't done so so far, inclined to leave it consistent with Croatian BLPs. So I'm sorry but I've reverted that. It may well be a forthcoming change if that is what opera programs are doing, but to date and even on his Porpora CD out this week, the full name is used. - The article should be moved to Max Emanuel Cencic, IMHO. GoodDay (talk) 17:16, 8 March 2018 (UTC)
- Agree. His own website says so, and our article many times, just not at the beginning. It is what recordings say. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:27, 2 June 2018 (UTC)
