Fair use rationale for Image:Minerva logo.gif
editImage:Minerva logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Max Planck Institute for Iron Research GmbH → Max-Planck-Institut für Eisenforschung – Use the official name and let "MPIE" and "Planck Institute for Iron Research" redirect to it. According to the institutes policy, the name should not be translated in the authors affiliation in publications 176.198.234.127 (talk) 09:00, 23 August 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose and move to Max Planck Institute for Iron Research (because we don't use GmbH, Co., Inc., Ltd, etc., etc. in titles on organizations). Reject the move proposal because this is en.wikipedia, our articles are not "authors' affiliation in publications" (we don't care if source citations use Max-Planck-Institut für Eisenforschung in
|publisher=
), we do what is best for our readers not what subjects tell us to do, and giving organizational names in English is what we always do, except in the really rare cases that the native non-English name is really the best known in English (e.g. Politburo). — SMcCandlish ☺ ☏ ¢ ≽ʌⱷ҅ᴥⱷʌ≼ 11:37, 24 August 2014 (UTC) - Comment WP:OFFICIALNAME we do not use official names just because they are official, we use common names. WP:UE, we use names as found in English, not German. So, if authors choose to translate the name, and that is the common form found in English, then that is the form to be used on English Wikipedia. -- 65.94.169.222 (talk) 05:41, 5 September 2014 (UTC)
- Use Max Planck Institute for Iron Research per SMcC, to get rid of the anomalous "GmbH" which is typically avoided MOS:TM unless disambiguation is necessary -- 65.94.169.222 (talk) 05:41, 5 September 2014 (UTC)
