Formulas need definition of variables and their dimensionality

It's customary that   is the channel, but it would be very worth noting which dimension it has – is it a row, or a column vector, or does the mechanism work for channels that are *not* representable by a single tap, too?

Same, even more so, goes for  , which is probably the transmitted signal, but I'm not even sure about that, here.
