Article wrongly named

edit

Not just OK, but TX as well--Smarkflea (talk) 19:27, 3 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

I agree, this article should be renamed.--TommyBoy (talk) 21:52, 5 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
Yes, given that the reports of substantial damage seemed to be in Texas and Kansas, the name isn't the best. --Arxiloxos (talk) 22:12, 5 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Now that we seem to have established that this article should be renamed, any thoughts on how to rename this article to reflect the flood's additional impact on the states of Kansas and Texas would be most appreciated. Furthermore, this article should also be expanded to include coverage of the flood's impact on the states of Kansas and Oklahoma.--TommyBoy (talk) 22:11, 9 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
Reply - @TommyBoy:, have you any suggestions other than "May 2016 United States storm complex"? This is a volunteer project, so WP:BEBOLD. --Jax 0677 (talk) 22:19, 9 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Since no further suggestions or objections have been raised in the last few days, I have gone ahead and moved the article to the title suggested by @Jax 0677: in order to better reflect its impact beyond Oklahoma.--TommyBoy (talk) 22:33, 13 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Article needs to be expanded

edit

Now that this article has been renamed and survived an AfD attempt in the last few weeks, any assistance from my fellow Wikipedians in expanding the article to better reflect its impact in and beyond the states of Oklahoma and Texas would be most appreciated (@Smarkflea:, @Arxiloxos:, @Jax 0677:).--TommyBoy (talk) 12:56, 9 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

I added detail the societal effects of the storm and re-worded the Disaster Proclamation by Governor Greg Abbott. Additionally, I noted that the storm's devastation was due to its nature as a El Niño climate cycle. Kralph1 (talk)kralph1 —Preceding undated comment added 16:11, 15 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
