Tracy Brookshaw

edit

Her article says she was born in 1980, even citing a source, but this page says 1980. TJSwoboda (talk) 15:23, 22 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

So her article agrees with this page? Is this a problem? --CalendarWatcher (talk) 15:25, 22 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

D'oh! I fail at basic composition. It's what Bishop said. TJSwoboda (talk) 01:34, 23 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Correction: the May 22 article actually says 1975, but her wikipedia article says 1980.Bishop^ (talk) 19:25, 22 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Champions' League

edit

the game finished after midnight Moscow time so I've moved it from May 21 to May 22. (137.108.145.250 (talk) 15:31, 23 May 2008 (UTC))Reply

Football matches are not sufficently important events to be included on Day articles. Jim Michael (talk) 10:56, 3 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

The page for May 22 includes Harvey Milk Day, but in parentheses next to it it says "United States". Harvey Milk Day is celebrated only in California.

Please discuss

edit

My attention was brought to this page by a filing at DRN. I saw that an edit was made to the article that required review before passing the edit though. Since it was only a revert and was not vandalism I accepted the edit, but it needs discussion here before it gets into an edit war. I suggest all parties come to the talk page for dicussion.--Mark Miller (talk) 20:03, 19 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

For editors that are reverting each other please remember the following when editing the article:

  • The births and deaths listed on this page are only for people for whom there is a Wikipedia article (no red links and no redirects). Please do not add yourself (unless there is a Wikipedia article about you), or anyone without a Wikipedia article. Any entry added for anyone without an article will be deleted.
  • The events listed on this page should be events that are globally notable and will remain so for the foreseeable future. Further guidelines for what should and should not be included are provided at Wikipedia:Days of the year. Events not meeting these guidelines will be removed.
  • The formatting of this page is considered static and should not be changed without discussion (and consensus) at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Days of the year. The formatting is based on the template at Wikipedia:WikiProject Days of the year/Template and includes spacing, use of – instead of –, the number of sections, over linking of years, and the use of references.--Mark Miller (talk) 20:33, 19 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

add Lucy Gordon (1980) and Nazanin Boniadi to births. 71.202.1.48 (talk) 22:24, 18 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. Mlpearc (open channel) 22:35, 18 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
WP:DAYS pages do not require on-page references, but must link to a subject article which has a source. Lucy Gordon appears to have a source which identifies her date of birth, though the Nazanin Boniadi page does not.—Laoris (talk) 17:25, 19 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
Done. Lucy Gordon (actress) added. Vanjagenije (talk) 19:16, 24 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

translation of relics of St Nicholas

edit

The listing says "Ukraine", but this is off. First, does the state of Ukraine celebrate this? Or the churches of Ukraine? And only those churches? I would say all churches of Byzantine tradition, but perhaps the Arabs don't. --Richardson mcphillips (talk) 15:38, 22 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

There isn't much in the article, Translation of the Relics of Saint Nicholas from Myra to Bari about Ukraine. There is a note that says it is a church wide celebration in the Ukraine. There are categories (not supported by anything in the article) that it is a tradition in Russia, Belaruse and Ukraine. Maybe Evrik, who created the article' can shed some light on this. ~ GB fan 16:12, 22 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
What I know is in the article. --evrik (talk) 17:30, 5 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
