GA Review
edit- This review is transcluded from Talk:Mayored to the Mob/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.
Good work overall. Some mostly minor comments:
- Shortly after their arrival, a riot breaks out, and Homer notices that Mark Hamill and Mayor Quimby, who are attending the convention, are in danger of being trampled due to the riot. - A cliffhanger. What caused the riot?
- Done. Qst (talk) 17:41, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
- Homer begins training at "Leavelle's Bodyguard Academy", where he shortly graduates and begins his new job as Quimby's bodyguard. "Shortly graduates"?
- Re-worded. Qst (talk) 17:41, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
- Discovering Quimby has not falling to his death and is in fact hanging on a ledge, Homer makes him promise to expose Fat Tony in return for Homer pulling Quimby back to safety. "Has not falling" is grammatically incorrect.
- Yep, I have been known to make the odd grammatical error here and there. ;) Qst (talk) 17:41, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
- Ron Hauge, writer of the episode, wanted to do an episode where he would use Homer's qualities such as: oafishness, brute strength, thickness, and loyalty, for good. Not sure the colon is needed.
- Done. Qst (talk) 17:41, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
- Kill the all-caps in ref #9's title.
- Done. Qst (talk) 17:41, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
- Looks good otherwise. I've placed the article on-hold to allow for these minor issues to be addressed. Cheers, –Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 17:26, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
- Looks good; passing. –Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 17:45, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
Why is the production section so short?
editI recently listened to the commentary for the episode, and I think this production section does not do it justice. There are a lot of things that could be discussed, such as Hammill being a long-time fan of the show and how he also got to being the voice of the bodyguard, they discuss the rat milking scene, and there is a mistake. Leavalle wasn't inspired by Jack Ruby, his design was inspired by this photo of a bodyguard when Oswald was shot by Jack Ruby. You need to start including more details and try to have some flow to the sections. For example, start out with writing, then transition into guest stars. Then have a new paragraph for animation notes. And the episode was named the best of the season by IGN.[1] This should be mentioned-- Scorpion0422 02:42, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
- well then fix/add it!! You're capable of doing it too! Ctjf83Talk 05:25, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, but I don't have all of the time in the world. You're the one who improved the article, you should have gotten this stuff the first time. Having other users go back and expand it later is inefficient. -- Scorpion0422 11:33, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

Star Trek refrence???
editIs it just me or does Homer's "sleeper hold" is really the vulcan nerve pinch from Star Trek? Bart-16 (talk) 08:20, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
