Mazda EZ-6
[edit]The Mazda EZ-6 will be launched in the GCC markets from the beginning of 2025. Carsharing R300 (talk) 08:45, 6 December 2024 (UTC)
Badge engineering
[edit]The EZ-6 is pretty clearly a badge engineered version of the Deepal SL03 (pre-facelift; the L07 facelift made some interior changes that differentiates it from the Mazda) similar to the relationship between the Chevy Equinox EV and the Honda Prologue. While all exterior body panels may be different, the proportions/hard points have been maintained, and the interior layout is mostly identical aside from different surfacing and materials changes, again maintaining hard points.
The vehicle cannot be considered 'rebadged' in my opinion, as its exterior changes are not limited to the lights and the 'corporate grille', and instead extends to the entire body. However, it also cannot merely be considered platform sharing, as its differences are almost exclusively cosmetic, and the powertrains and even infotainment/instrument cluster software are identical. Mazda EZ-6 → Mazda 6e – WP:COMMONNAME, currently Mazda 6e in all markets outside of China. Not stuart60 (talk) 00:48, 5 January 2026 (UTC)
- Support per nom. This is similar to Mazda Axela (Japan) name to Mazda3 (global). ~2026-13757-3 (talk) 03:05, 10 January 2026 (UTC)
- Comment Should it be Mazda6e (no space) or Mazda 6e (with space)? S5A-0043🚎(Talk) 07:49, 10 January 2026 (UTC)
- Most sources are using a space, but I've seen some UK sources, Mazda's UK website and UK dealers stylise the vehicle name without the space. I'd say include a space. Inpops (talk) 18:11, 10 January 2026 (UTC)
- Support – Name used internationally, similar to most car article titles. Inpops (talk) 18:14, 10 January 2026 (UTC)
- Support per nom, and agree that the space should be included, for example for consistency with other articles in Category:Mazda vehicles. Andrewa (talk) 01:35, 12 January 2026 (UTC)
