editMy master's and DPhil work has been focused largely on the life of Peter Mbiyu Koinange. Having read a large corpus of secondary and primary sources, I hope to contribute to this article out of that knowledge and will be updating with citations over the coming months. --DOstendorff (talk) 15:23, 8 October 2012 (UTC)

- Thanks User:stephenwanjau! I also grew up in Kenya, so I'm really wanting to increase the level of information on Kenya available on Wikipedia. ==DOstendorff (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 08:28, 9 October 2012 (UTC)

- Please do help! I'm in the midst of a busy season in life, so my updates will be broken up by more pressing items. Also, let me know if you could use some help on any other pages you're working on. Together we can share more information about the wonderful history and country of Kenya! ==DOstendorff (talk) 10:21, 9 October 2012 (UTC)

Page rename/page move
editI think this page may need to be renamed/moved from "Mbiyu Koinange" to "Peter Mbiyu Koinange" for clarification purposes. While, come teh 1950s-1960s, Peter Mbiyu Koinange did go by Mbiyu Koinange, from 1907 to the 1950s he went by Peter Mbiyu - for more than half of his life. In addition, he has a brother - John Mbiyu Koinange - who dropped "John" in the early 1950s and also went by simply "Mbiyu Koinange". Then both of them have a dad whose name was "Koinange wa Mbiyu" - increasing the confusion brought by simply using "Mbiyu Koinange". DOstendorff (talk) 01:36, 4 June 2017 (UTC)
