Change of logo and COI editors
editI have changed the logo to the January 2019 version. See this exchange on the User talk page of a paid editor. I have also added a list of COI and paid editors above. They are probably not the only ones. Over the years, this article has been edited by various other single-purpose accounts which were pretty clearly connected to the firm. The most recent attempt at adding blatant advertising began in January 2019 with this edit by an IP which resolves to Chicago where McDermott Will & Emery is headquartered. Further attempts to add the text were made by two of the editors listed above. See [1] and [2]. Voceditenore (talk) 11:25, 10 January 2019 (UTC)
Copyright problem removed
editPrior content in this article duplicated one or more previously published sources. The material was copied from: https://www.mwe.com/media/mcdermott-enhances-cross-border-dealmaking/. Copied or closely paraphrased material has been rewritten or removed and must not be restored, unless it is duly released under a compatible license. (For more information, please see "using copyrighted works from others" if you are not the copyright holder of this material, or "donating copyrighted materials" if you are.)
For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or published material; such additions will be deleted. Contributors may use copyrighted publications as a source of information, and, if allowed under fair use, may copy sentences and phrases, provided they are included in quotation marks and referenced properly. The material may also be rewritten, providing it does not infringe on the copyright of the original or plagiarize from that source. Therefore, such paraphrased portions must provide their source. Please see our guideline on non-free text for how to properly implement limited quotations of copyrighted text. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with these policies. Thank you. Voceditenore (talk) 13:08, 10 January 2019 (UTC)
- Yet another account has attempted to add this material today [3]. The next time any account or IP attempts to re-add this blatant copyvio and blatant advertising to the article, the edit will be immediately reverted and that account/IP and all three of the previous accounts who had added it will be taken to the Conflict of Interest Noticeboard.
