Flagicons
editThe use of flagicons achieves nothing in this article. As per WP:MOSFLAG:
- Generally, flag icons should not be used in infoboxes, even when there is a "country", "nationality" or equivalent field: they are unnecessarily distracting and give undue prominence to one field among many.
Furthermore:
- Flag icons should only be inserted in infoboxes in those cases where they convey information in addition to the text.
While there is a case to be made for including flagicons in championship articles, it is difficult to justify here. Sainz being Spanish and Norris being British have no bearing on this article. Mclarenfan17 (talk) 08:12, 14 February 2019 (UTC)
- I agree with their removal. -- DeFacto (talk). 09:27, 14 February 2019 (UTC)
In addition to this, @Adamanny, you insisted that if the flagicons were to be removed, then they should be removed from all 2019 car articles. I did precisely that, at which point you restored them to make the article consistent with other 2019 car articles. You cannot have it both ways. Mclarenfan17 (talk) 08:15, 14 February 2019 (UTC)
- Once I saw you removed flags from all the other car pages I decided to keep it that way for plain consistency. I still support keeping the flags next to the driver names. Admanny (talk) 22:17, 20 March 2019 (UTC)
