WP:NPOV
editThis article currently suffers from a similar non-neutral treatment of the "big nose" Jews argument as the one on the "Freedom for Humanity" mural, where I've just opened a talkpage discussion about it.
The section of the current article which discusses the mural states that it "was criticized after residents complained of its portrayal of Jews." The cited sources make statements about complaints of antisemitism and antisemitic undertones, but not about the "portrayal of Jews". In any case, whether the mural 'portrays' Jews as such is a matter of dispute.

- There have been a few recent edits apparently trying to excise any negative commentary about Jeremy Corbyn. While the editor may have a reasonable point about WP:UNDUE weight being given to criticism of one politician, completely deleting those references is not a solution. There was definitely a public controversy, and that deserves to be mentioned, but it's not all about Corbyn. There is no commentary in this article, for exampe, from Mear One/Ockerman himself, which is extraordinary in an article about Mear One. It needs to bring some other perspectives to satisfy WP:NPOV. Freedom for Humanity section
editThe section here on the Freedom for Humanity mural is in danger of becoming more detailed than that article. Shouldn't this section be trimmed, and the detail here be moved to that article? BobFromBrockley (talk) 11:48, 8 June 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, it is a waste of editors' time to maintain alternative versions of the same subject in two related, linked articles and is not helpful to readers. It is also disproprotionate to have the artist's article dominated by one artwork. I shall propose a definite edit on the proposed lines in due course. Jontel (talk) 06:58, 27 June 2020 (UTC)
Conspiracy Theorist
editI think that people haven't been paying much attention, but Mear One has been steadily falling into the conspirituality New Age-alt right pipeline. His works now include explicitly antivax and other pseudoscience themes. I inserted a reference to his art being inspired by conspiracy theories. jps (talk) 15:47, 7 July 2024 (UTC)
