I had heard that all the songs on MBBaB were re-recorded for the album, but now I can't verify that. IS anyone else familiar with this possibility?

I'm sceptical; the production and arrangements on all of the songs sound too different. --Jacj 21:58, 14 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

I changed "he then smashed his guitar for the very first time," to "he then smashed his guitar for the first time in public." In the 1994 Playboy interview Townshend states he first smashed a guitar at his grandma's house while practising with John. Just to avoid any confusion. - Guest Editor

The quoting of the liner notes is very extensive...what license is on them? --Stlemur 17:18, 6 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Origin of the title?

edit

What's the origin of the album's title and why was it changed from The Who Look Back?--Theodore Kloba 19:33, 31 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Just a guess: Meaty = Daltrey, Beaty = Moon, Big = Townshend, Bouncy = Entwistle. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.23.58.49 (talk) 18:26, 31 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

I think this is completely untrue. When I bought the record in 1980, I just assumed that the four words described the music on it. I think there is also a sly joke involved, as of course the four adjectives could describe a guy's testicles !

:-) If you put the album title minus The Who into Google images you'll get the cheeky nature of the title (Meaty Beaty Big and Bouncy -The Who). SilkTork (talk) 10:12, 6 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Blocks of flats in Harrow

edit

Looking for possible citations for "...four small blocks of flats, each of which is named after a member of the band.[citation needed]", I've found http://www.harrowobserver.co.uk/west-london-news/local-harrow-news/2009/12/15/harrow-venue-s-rock-legend-status-honoured-116451-25395356/ and also http://www.a2dominion.co.uk/rte.asp?id=50&pressid=93

Both of these, however, say that there are only two blocks of flats: Moon House and Daltrey House. Google Maps also confirms just those two names.

Can anyone confirm that there are indeed four blocks, or do I need to go and look myself (although this would be OR)? Threefoursixninefour (talk) 14:45, 17 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
