- I think there are a lot of problems with this article. The article seems to consist largely of unsourced (and somewhat POV) narrative and original research, interspersed with some citations to references that don't really support the novel narrative. I gather that this article was originally created as an outgrowth of the contentious "Centrifugal Force" article, which may explain why it seems to be fighting a battle carried over from that other article. In any case, I would say the main substantive problem with this article is that it is based on a confusion over the meaning of frames and coordinate systems, and it self-admittedly introduces a lot of novel terminology, such as "coordinate fictitious forces", a phrase which is actually redundant, since ALL fictitious forces arise from the use of coordinates that differ from standard rectilinear inertial space and time coordinates. The article also brims over with a silly chauvinism for 3-vectors over 4-vectors, as if the former are good sound "physical" entities and the latter are misguided mathematical contrivances. The entire subject could be presented far more clearly and economically once the confusion between frames and coordinate systems is cleared up.Flau98bert (talk) 15:53, 9 September 2012 (UTC)
