The result of the move request was: consensus to move the page, per the discussion below; this can be revisited if the comic series is deleted at some point. Dekimasuよ! 17:17, 13 March 2018 (UTC)
Medal of Honor (series) → Medal of Honor (video game series) – Ambiguous due to an unrelated comic book Medal of Honor (comics) which also is a "series". Netoholic @ 11:07, 5 March 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose It's not ambiguous at all. Average daily page views of the video game series are 947 and are 4 per day for the comic book. That means the video game gets about 237 times more views daily than the comic book series. Makes no sense to move.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 12:51, 5 March 2018 (UTC)
- All page views prove is that search engines do a great job finding the article no matter what name its under. This isn't a popularity contest, its disambiguation. The new name will not affect daily page views one bit, as the search engine will adjust. -- Netoholic @ 20:15, 5 March 2018 (UTC)
- This is a very, very obvious case of one being the primary topic. In fact, it's unclear whether the comic book is even notable at all, as it has no secondary sources. I won't nominate it for deletion at this time because it would seem WP:POINTy, but I just want to point out that it will probably fail an AfD.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 01:55, 6 March 2018 (UTC)
- Primary topic rules do not apply to disambiguation. Shadow007 (talk) 04:20, 6 March 2018 (UTC)

- Support the comic series also exists and "series" means TV to non games editors/readers. In ictu oculi (talk) 08:53, 6 March 2018 (UTC)
- Support I don't think there's such thing as primary within a parenthetical disambiguation. That's why the movie everyone knows named Titanic isn't at Titanic (film), even if it would be the obvious primary. Note that this only applies to cases where there are other notable topics, however. So, the existence of another Medal of Honor series alone isn't enough, it has to actually meet our notability guidelines. Which in this case, it does.--Yaksar (let's chat) 01:05, 7 March 2018 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: Page not moved. (closed by page mover) -- Dane talk 02:40, 26 March 2018 (UTC)
Medal of Honor (video game series) → Medal of Honor (series) – Deletion discussion for the comic book series cited as prompting the recent move ended in a merge decision as non-notable. With no other media being notable as a series there is no reason for this long disambiguation per WP:CONCISE. The move should be reversed. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 20:51, 18 March 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose Speedy procedural close - we JUST had this discussion. The AFD changes nothing. It was WP:POINTy (even when you claimed in the prior move vote discussion that you weren't going to AFD it precisely to avoid being POINTy but did so anyway) and doesn't eliminate potential confusion of using such a generic disambiguator as "(series)". Per WP:INCDAB, we still have to more fully disambiguate even if the other topic(s) are redirects. -- Netoholic @ 22:29, 18 March 2018 (UTC)
- I said I didn't want it to be construed as WP:POINTy, not that it was. It was perfectly justified, as it was not distruptive to Wikipedia in the slighest. These types of move discussions are WP:POINTy if anything, as WP:VG opposes adding (video game series) in any case that is not obviously a cause for confusion. This page isn't, it only gets a few visitors, and is extremely niche compared to the game series.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 22:44, 18 March 2018 (UTC)
- VG is dead wrong, and (series) should be absolutely eliminated from use in all cases. In addition to the comic series, there are an almost uncountable number of TV documentary series in existence. "Series" is simply never going to be sufficient disambigation in any instance. -- Netoholic @ 22:59, 18 March 2018 (UTC)
- See: WP:NCVGDAB, For video game series: Typically, disambiguate by appending "(series)". If this is still ambiguous ... use "(video game series)" It is not still ambiguous, as any other series called Medal of Honor is non-notable, including the comic books. We only disambiguate with currently existing articles. If you don't like the policy, that doesn't mean it doesn't apply. Not unless it's changed by WP:CONSENSUS at a higher level.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 07:19, 19 March 2018 (UTC)
- (series) is still ambiguous given that Medal of Honor (disambiguation) still mentions the comics series and TV series, which are documented within Wikipedia (even just as mentions in sections of other articles). The ambiguity of using (series) without further qualifier still exists, so the alternative at WP:NCVG is appropriate and already in place as of a VERY recently closed RM. It is highly inappropriate to restart this discussion when consensus was to MOVE so recently. -- Netoholic @ 12:56, 19 March 2018 (UTC)

- Oppose (series) could mean anything and in this case there other series. What is so shameful about "video game"? In ictu oculi (talk) 16:24, 19 March 2018 (UTC)
- It flies in the face of WP:CONCISE for one. The debate has not been settled, so attempting to "vote stack" WP:RM to make these moves yourself with dubious justification is doing an end run around WP:CONSENSUS.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 19:54, 19 March 2018 (UTC)
- Even if we were to concede on CONCISE by it simply being shorter, it fails on all the other WP:CRITERIA. (series) is not precise, not natural, not immediately recognizable, and NCVG supporting usage of both (series) and (video game series) is inconsistent. Who has the "dubious justification" now? -- Netoholic @ 23:04, 19 March 2018 (UTC)

- Suggestion - "Medal of Honor (series)" should be redirected to the video game series, shouldn't it? --George Ho (talk) 04:08, 23 March 2018 (UTC)
- Its directed toward the disambiguation page per WP:INCDAB, since "series" validly could describe multiple options. -- Netoholic @ 06:25, 23 March 2018 (UTC)
