Notability
editI'm struggling to see how the subject of this article meets our notability criteria. The two main claims seem to rest upon the fact that she is a chef in a couple of restaurants and that she has co-authored two cook books. The subject cannot claim any notability from the restaurants, since notability is not inherited. As an author, she clearly fails to meet the notability criteria set out in WP:AUTHOR. In fact, reading some of the references, it is clear that she is not the primary focus of them, and that they are all written about the restaurants. I would suggest that quality references need to be added to justify why the subject of this article is notable in her own right. — Fly by Night (talk) 22:33, 9 June 2012 (UTC)
- There is more than sufficient WP:GNG coverage with articles such as this [1] that call her and her husband "members of Vancouver’s gastronomic royalty", as well as coverage of her and her husband in lifestyle sections such as this [2], and regularly is featured in the media and prominent events, which per WP:GNG establishes notability for Wikipedia. Additionally she does in fact qualify on WP:AUTHOR as well, as her work integrating crickets into menus in North America qualifies under point #2 of "The person is known for originating a significant new concept, theory or technique." as reported in the Globe and Mail and other outlets such as this [3].
