Notability
editI believe that Meg Myers is a significant, up-and-coming artist who deserves inclusion on wikipedia because of the attention she has played multiple gigs at the prestigious Viper Room and garnered attention from Carson Daily and the New Music Seminar - Artist On the Verge series. I included these facts in the article.
Meg Myers and Doctor Rosen Rosen have been marketing her music to the public for less than a year. If their popularity and notoriety has not increased significantly over the course of the next 1-2 years, then I would agree at that time that they no longer meet the inclusion guideline for notoriety.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Kemery720 (talk • contribs)
- No, we will not wait 1-2 years in anticipation that the subject might become notable. Either the subject is currently notable (and therefore would remain so even if not a single word were ever written about her again), or the subject is not notable at this time. After you posted this message here, the article has been nominated for deletion; if the discussion determines that the article should be kept then I certainly have no objection to removing the notability tag. Kemery, you are welcome to contribute to the deletion discussion. You may want to review the relevant notability guidelines at WP:GNG and WP:BAND first, since opinions framed in the context of notability guidelines are often given more consideration. - VQuakr, thanks for your help. It looks like the article survived the deletion discussion. I'll leave the notification up for a little while before I take it down, then.75.166.194.27 (talk) 02:15, 29 December 2012 (UTC)
Image
editThe cover image from Daughter In The Choir was removed for copyright reasons. I've e-mailed WMG in an attempt to get permission to use the image, and I've posted a reply to one of Meg's images on her artist Facebook profile asking her permission to use an image from her facebook. I think the current cover image in this article, for "Make A Shadow" is probably copyrighted also, and besides, she is too small in the image for it to really be appropriate for this article. Any assistance or ideas on a more appropriate image that isn't already copyrighted would be appreciated.Kemery72 (talk) 20:22, 5 September 2014 (UTC)
'Career' section?
editThis may come down to my unfamiliarity with guidelines regarding music artists in general, but is there any reason why the Career section sounds less like a Wikipedia entry and more like an overly friendly press interview or promo sheet? I mean, "Music has always been an emotional release for Myers"? Really? I'm not asking to be snarky, I'm genuinely curious and I don't want to strike that stuff out if it's allowed. Contested deletion
editThis page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because... if there are copyright issues, then it should be edited. Deleting an encyclopedic entry would be like deleting someone from history. Leave the page, change the content.

- @2601:983:8001:5B1E:70FB:D208:487D:B5AE: If so, you could WP:TNT it. Dat GuyTalkContribs 18:13, 24 December 2015 (UTC)
