Every single word of Lumine is plot summary of this game. Per WP:FICT, it needs to be merged here. - A Man In Bl♟ck (conspire | past ops) 03:05, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
- Unless Lumine makes an important reappearance in Mega Man X9 serving the same capacity in the storyline as he did in X8, it should be merged. I've gotten things rolling by integrating a few key portions from Lumine into Mega Man X8 that weren't covered already in this article. - The Running Man 16:35, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
how and from which button can i copy the flying robot with axl, please tell me something about this
"Final?"
editI have yet to find evidence that X8 is the final numerical installment in the series. Anyone mind backing this up? Johnboy3434 18:56, 22 October 2006 (UTC)Johnboy3434
- Well, it says that Sigma cannot revive anymore, however I believe Lumine wasn't fully destroyed, so there may be an X9. (also, the Classic Mega Man series ended on it's eighth game)
- Yes, Mega Man ended with 8, but then it had its tribute Rockman and Forte, which is an unofficial ninth. RealmRPGer (talk) 07:25, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

So? Legends ended with 2 (3 including Tronne Bonne), Battle Network ended with 6, and Zero ended with 4151.196.140.153 00:22, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
I don't think it's the last one. Sigma might be dead, but that might just mean that future titles will focus on new villains, like the Dark Elf. There are still some questions about the events between the X and Zero series, and Capcom should answer them. And Mega Man XX would be a nicer name for the last game ;) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 84.174.217.34 (talk)
- There are still questions about the X and Legends series, as well. @-@ (They both have references to Elysium) RealmRPGer (talk) 07:47, 10 April 2008 (UTC) Swift Justice is Injustice

Infinitely Necessary
editDoes the word infinite in Axl's character summary really require a link to its article? RealmRPGer (talk) 07:52, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
story
editSomeone could add the text that shows just after the credits, the one talking about the interruption of the pruduction of the new generation reploids.
Languages
editThe article says the game comes with over 6 languages. However, when I purchased and downloaded it through GameSpot, I only got 2: English and Japanese. 70.145.15.83 (talk) 02:33, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
Yes, the game comes in 6 languages for subtitles and 2 for audio.

Japanese cover art needed for this article
editIf anyone can upload the Japanese cover art for the video game and use it in this box, we would appreciate it. Just like We Started Nothing and Always Outnumbered, Always Outgunned and albums, showing alternate covers, this article may also need an alternate cover, showing its origins in addition to changes in America. example image from Play-Asia.com SolanaRanger (talk) 01:22, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
- Actually, no. That would violate both Wikipedia guidelines (WP:FU) and WP:VG guidelines. The Japanses and US covers are identical, which is further reason NOT to do so. TJ Spyke 20:19, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
- How can both US and Japanese covers be identical in terms of artwork when the Japanese title is placed on the bottom and the US title is placed on the top? Is there still a difference? 76.95.238.226 (talk) 20:09, 25 August 2013 (UTC)
GameSpot really?
editUm, you can buy the PC version from Gamespot or Gamestop? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.191.229.185 (talk) 10:25, 30 April 2009 (UTC)
O...K, that... doesn't seem quite right.
editThe article somehow says that X8 was released in North America BEFORE it was released in Japan. Is this true, or did someone screw up with the release dates? 59.167.75.88 (talk) 06:56, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
i didnt find layer and palette anywhere
editi know that they only appeared in 1 game but they are playable characters so therefore they should get their own information. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.208.59.120 (talk) 22:00, 22 February 2012 (UTC)

European Logo Mention
editThis might sound a bit stupid, but does the European logo really need to be mentioned? To me, that isn't noteworthy enough for a mention (alongside all the other pages it's mentioned on). Shadowboxer2005 (talk) 12:29, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
