Personal life or political career?
editBarry had an affair with a city employee. So that was a political career issue and a #MeToo issue.[1] There may be nepotism issues as well (the employee made an extra $50K in "overtime" and travelled on taxpayer money to Paris, Athens, Washington, New York, etc).[2] She, however, claims the employee was not a subordinate, so this would be a personal life issue. I am not clear as to what section this belongs to.XavierItzm (talk) 06:52, 1 February 2018 (UTC)
- We may have to wait a bit to see what ends up happening. For example, if she is pressured to resign then it is a political career issue. I feel this may need to be a subsection in between "personal" and "political" Can it be a subsection under "Mayor of Nashville" as this happened during her time in office.
This affects public life more than person, although what makes it personal is that she was married, which is a private and personal thing.HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 07:05, 1 February 2018 (UTC)- Let me clarify, I feel this is more political at the moment as this affects taxpayers (because of "overtime") and people's trust in her. However, I do believe that it is too soon to see the full effect this will have.HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 07:12, 1 February 2018 (UTC)
