Records of the Board of Supervisors

edit

Just anonymously I would like to say it is erroneous to assert that all records of the Board of Supervisors have been lost. If one would but do a little research, especially in the San Francisco Call newspaper, a slew of records can be found about several interesting and illustrious supervisors before and after the 1906 Earthquake. 108.178.145.48 (talk) 04:08, 14 January 2013 (UTC) P.S. you also might want to try the Online Archive of California for some really good photos.Reply

Chart of transitions

edit

The chart of transitions has been added back because it contains information not in the other chart on the page. The suggestion to simply add those details to individual pages on members of the Board of Supervisors is appreciated, but is not as good a solution as having both charts. Not all members have Wikipedia pages (and not all should), and the chart itself conveys a sequence of information that would be lost if the information were dispersed into several dozen articles on individuals (and even more as more detail is added on members further in the past). Align names to tops of sections . . .

edit

I propose that the names of the supervisors in the charts be aligned to the top of the columns, just as is done in Los Angeles City Council#1925 and after (fifteen districts). You do this by replacing |- valign=center with |- valign=top in the markup. As you can see, in the Los Angeles chart it is much easier to discern when the representatives' terms begin and when they end. What do you say? If there is no objection, I or somebody else will make the necessary changes. Any thoughts? Yours sincerely, GeorgeLouis (talk) 16:15, 15 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
