– Per WP:NATURAL and WP:COMMONNAME the district is usually called "Mendip District"[1] in a generic context even though "Mendip" is the preferred label by the OS, presumably when its clear from the context that you're referring to the district. The district is named after the Mendip Hills and there are a number of other articles on the DAB page and at Mendips (disambiguation). Crouch, Swale (talk) 08:54, 22 September 2018 (UTC) --Relisting. - Per WP:UKDISTRICTS, see "Non-metropolitan districts with local ambiguity..." Crouch, Swale (talk) 17:17, 27 September 2018 (UTC)
- Support - it seems unlikely that the term "Mendip" refers primarily to the district in common usage or long-term significance. More likely that would be the hills. Dab page will serve us best. — Amakuru (talk) 21:33, 7 October 2018 (UTC)
