Neutrality
editThis could really use a NPV review (lots of talk of the "nationalists' inevitable defeat"and vaguely degrading anecdotes about nationalist commanders having their family executed for talk of surrender, etc, without any kind of citation.) The whole thing reads like the writing of a Communist party functionary.
Could also use some rewriting by a native English speaker.

- This appears to be a continued issue. However, until the status of the text is resolved, I am going to stand off from it. I do wonder if this article would be best served by WP:TNT and then recreated. -- NoCOBOL (talk) 06:01, 23 January 2019 (UTC)
- I tried to weed out the colorful literal translations of place names (e.g., Celestial Horse Pond!). Disagree about the neutrality /pro-PRC issue: in fact it seems pretty pro-KMT, e.g., "Although surprised that its 74th Reorganized Division was surrounded, the nationalists were not scared". Translation of Chinese Article
editThis reads like it is the translation of a Chinese Propaganda piece, with a few adjustments since the initial creation to correct the grammar and reduce the most egregious examples of bias. As such, I question whether this article should be deleted and replaced with a stub, as this article seems likely to fall foul of WP:CV and WP:NPOV, even though the content is otherwise decent and covers a notable subject.
