More information
editSection on medical essential workers needs more detail since they were one of the main individuals severely affected. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Valeriascalderon (talk • contribs) 23:45, 25 March 2021 (UTC)
I have added to contributed to this in the paper by adding the statistics of front line COVID workers vs. regular healthcare workers not involved directly with COVID-19. User Talk: AlissaLeBrun 1:37, 29 September 2021
I contributed valuable information on how mental health issues during the pandemic can be improved and how healthcare staff working with Covid-19 patients are more likely to experience PTSD. I also added a section about anxiety and depression because I feel that these are more common in experience and understanding but still just as important to be addressed. Ebaugher1 (talk) 16:26, 29 September 2021 (UTC)
There needs to be information for individuals who are adapting well to the pandemic. Not everyone is exhibiting poor mental health symptoms. I will add a section on COVID-19 resiliency and factors for positive well-being. There also needs to be more information on the impact for individuals with disorders other than anxiety. Depression is not an anxiety disorder and may need its own section though there is research that suggests comorbidity with anxiety disorders.BlazeBolt (talk) 23:59, 9 October 2021 (UTC)
More information on topics
editMultiple topics (essential workers, suicide, and students) need more information since they were very big effects on society.
Valeriascalderon (talk) 23:46, 25 March 2021 (UTC)
There should be a section that discusses how the pandemic effects nurses.
The headings about different areas need more information added. They look bare and sort of out of place. This can be fixed by doing research about the specific areas. Or just adding this information under a broader heading. This will help clean up the article, making it look more professional. Those headings with only a sentence of information look incomplete. editing children and students sections
editHi! I plan to add more information to the children and students sectionsPsychStudentS (talk) 14:51, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
Planned Edits
editI plan on editing the following sections: long-term consequences, impact on students, impact on children, and for carers of children. I plan on removing a sentence that comes from a single study in the impact on children section and replacing it with information from literature review sources. I also plan to edit and add sources to the carers of children section. PsychStudentS (talk) 18:26, 27 March 2021 (UTC)
Information on the impact on suicide rates
editI intend to add information to the impact on suicide section of the page.--Julius Royale (talk) 14:23, 6 April 2021 (UTC)
needs update
editSo much of this information only goes through mid 2020. Given that the pandemic is still going a year later, a lot of this should be revisited and updated. Likeanechointheforest (talk) 14:11, 24 May 2021 (UTC)
I agree. There is definitely a lot more research out there about the pandemic that can be added, such as statistical information. We also have to keep in mind that we do not know the full effects of COVID-19 on the human mind and body yet because we are still living with it now. I added in some information about anxiety, such an increase in 1.5% of anxiety. I also added an example of a study to give more support of the pandemic causing stress to people.

ADDED & SUGGESTIONS I added more detailed statistical info to the heading "for healthcare workers" which goes into depth on the specific effects that healthcare workers face like anxiety and depression. Healthcare workers are very broad so this heading could definitely be broken down into nurses, surgeons, trauma, PEDS, or frontline workers to narrow down the specific impact.
I like how the article is listed in bullet points making it easy to follow. The article is also very in-depth and has a wide range of topics.
I would consider adding a heading that mentions how COVID has affected mothers or families. How has it affected learning among students?
I plan to add a section on resiliency factors considering that some are adapting well to the pandemic. Here are a few sources I plan to use:

More Information
editI plan to expand on the prevalence of telehealth as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as add information regarding the increased prejudice towards Asian-Americans throughout this time. I will also be discussing the impacts of mental health many long-term effects of COVID-19 can have, including that of parosmia, the loss of smell and often taste.
