This article is important as the 260D is, along with the Hanomag Rekord Diesel, the first series production diesel automobile.

The article claimed that the 260D would have been one of the preferred cars of the Gestapo, i have found no reference whatsoever that claims so, it seems also very unlikely that they would have preferred one of the slowest and noisiest cars available at the time, thus i have deleted that paragraph. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.160.178.82 (talk) 04:40, 6 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

This article is important as the 260D is, along with the Hanomag Rekord Diesel, the first series production diesel automobile.
