editI see no reason why this article, largely bereft of useful information anyhow, should not be merged in to Mercedes-Benz, which covers both Mercedes cars and trucks. DirectorStratton 01:03, August 2, 2005 (UTC)
Can somebody in the know please expand slightly on the transmission layout? Transverse-drive buses have traditionally used at least three configurations: V-drive, in which a bevel gear set drives the driveshaft at an angle and the differential has a similar bevel gear set; 90-degree drive, similar but the driveshaft is fore-aft and the engine must be quite short; and a configuration where the output of the transmission is on the same end as the input from the transmission and a 90-degree drive sits between engine and transmission. It would be interesting to know which configuration is used in Mercedes buses, and also whether the engine is biased to the left (as in GMC buses) or the right (as in Mack buses). Presumably t this information can be summarized in just a few words, such as "transverse engine with V-drive transmission on the right", etc. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.61.83.1 (talk) 23:38, 4 January 2009 (UTC) stephen lequire

"a payload of 6600 tons"?
editI know this is not correct, but I don't know whether the right value is 6600 pounds, 6600 kg or something else entirely. Somebody who knows, please edit this appropriately. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Drcampbell (talk • contribs) 17:42, 16 May 2010 (UTC)

paragraph formatting
editThe paragraph formatting in this article needs some work; many of the paragraphs are 1 or 2 sentences; they could be compacted by theme and subheadings added. --RichardMills65 (talk) 06:00, 13 March 2012 (UTC)

Note
editHey all, I have completed an overhaul of the article. This meant getting rid of the gallery per WP:NOTGALLERY. I've also added a few images but I've not replaced any that were there, instead used them to the best of my ability. Hope this is ok, please give feedback on the edits, as I want to learn and improve. --EurovisionNim (talk to me)(see my edits) 11:02, 4 July 2021 (UTC)
