The entire lead in paragraph has no citations, and a lot of information that I would like to know where it comes from. Please cite your sources.

Negativity

The article talks almost exclusively about how bad the car was, and then at the end notes that it was one of C&D's 10 Best for years. Come on. I had the V6 manual (with leather and sunroof) from 1996 to 2000, and it was a great car; not world class, but very solid, Euro-style feel. Admittedly, a friend hated the V4 automatic Contours he sometimes got when he rented, but everyone hates a plasticky, underpowered car. The sister Ford Mondeo is respected in Europe (as demonstrated by its much better quality article). Top Gear talked it up recently. --Tysto 19:53, 14 October 2007 (UTC)

Merger to Ford Contour

I propose a merger similar to what was done with Mercury Monterey van and Ford Freestar. The article doesn't seem to have enough information or notability to stand on its own really, and is pretty much a clone of it Ford cousin.
