Undecipherable to the uninitiated
editI have absolutely no idea where to begin to figure out what the parenthetical in the following sentence means:
"...Mereng evolved from the fusion of slave musics such as the chica and calenda with ballroom forms related to the French contredance (1988: 5-9)." There are several other similar notations in the article.

Trujillo was not from the cibao region
editThe dictator was born in San Cristobal and lived most of his young life there. San cristobal is in the south not cibao. Javierorr (talk) 03:44, 12 November 2023 (UTC)
