Merrymount/Wollaston

edit

Does anyone know what modern-day cities/neighborhoods correspond to the original Mount Wollaston colony? I found something on Google Books which made it sound like Mount Wollaston comprised of what is now Quincy, Braintree, and beyond; but it was a snippet view, so I wasn't allowed to actually read the source. This link says Mount Wollaston corresponds to today's Wollaston, but it's just a footnote to The Maypole of Merry Mount, which doesn't seem particularly reliable. I'm guessing there was a primary settlement somewhere, possibly in what is now Wollaston, and the surrounding land in all directions was claimed as part of the colony. But if somebody with a well-stocked book shelf were able to sort that out, it'd really help clarify the history of the area. --Fullobeans (talk) 03:56, 23 October 2008

ANSWER TO ABOVE INQUIRY:

Wollaston and Merrymount are adjacent neighboorhoods in modern-day Quincy, Massachusetts and encompass what was formerly known as Mount Wollaston.
