editThe table of mesh size conversion is not entirely accurate. Also, several other standards exist for mesh size, which are not mentioned here. They are: Canadian, German, British, and French.
Column Headers in the "Sieve size conversion chart"
edit<Nmagedman> The "Sieve size conversion chart" has columns labeled BSS, Tyler, and US. Tyler is described in the article, but BSS and US are not. Could someone please describe those systems? Further, the article describes FEPA scales, but they are not included in the chart. Would someone please add them? Thanks! 17:28, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
Tyler mesh size
editI have removed the sentence: "The openings of adjacent mesh sizes in this series differ by a factor of ", because it is unclear whether this is correct and what exactly is meant by it. 7:24, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
grit sizes?
editI was missing grit sizes of [http://www.amazon.com/50000-Grit-Diamond-Powder-Vial/dp/B002I9RQAI/ 50000] and [http://www.amazon.com/100000-Grit-Diamond-Powder-Vial/dp/B002I9RSCO/ 100000]? They seem to be explained here, although it's not a really good source, it was much less confusing to read than the article - I am still not sure how the information there goes together with the multitude of dimensions in the article Iridos (talk) 00:21, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
Request for a table of typical grit sizes
editIt would be helpful to have a list or a table of some common materials and their mesh sizes; for example, beach sand, household cleanser, etc. In other words, what mesh sizes would these materials typically pass through, just to get a rough idea? — Preceding unsigned comment added by WWriter (talk • contribs) 19:31, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
