editCan someone explain what the difference between a mesonic molecule and a tetraquark is? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 138.246.23.212 (talk • contribs) 16:14, 7 November 2009 (UTC)
- a mesonic molecule is an object composed of mesons bound together with a residual strong force. A tetraquark is a hadron composed of four quarks bound together directly, and not as a pair of mesons. There is no implication that there're only 4 quarks in a mesonic molecule. -- 70.24.250.235 (talk) 10:45, 13 April 2014 (UTC)
