Reading this article, particularly the subdivisions section, there seems to be a lot of filler-type material, which on initial reading I found confusing (e.g. why are the Changhsingian and Induan suddenly mentioned? Re-reading I understand that this is to demonstrate the impact of the dating errors, but its a little abrupt in presentation). Is this a suitable place to discuss the dating errors and the consequent impact? I'd be inclined to remove most of it and leave a sentence summing up the problem, which I'll do if there are no objections. Therizinosaurian (talk) 19:58, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
- Just had a quick look for sources and it looks like the lead at least relies heavily on http://www.redorbit.com/education/reference_library/earth/geology/1112717562/mesoproterozoic/ to the point where the first couple of lines are identical. I'm going to go ahead and try to re-write them (And cite!)Therizinosaurian (talk) 20:21, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
