Americans do not use the metric system

Why is this article only written for Europeans? Units of measurement should be in feet and inches as well as the European “metric” system.

Nobody uses the “metric” system in America and we never will. Is it too much to ask that you put feet and inches in parentheses in your European articles?

As per Wikipedia's Manual of Style (MOS:UNIT), all articles without strong ties to either the United States or the United Kingdom should be written using SI units. The primary SI unit for measurement is the metre, and so this page uses millimetres as its primary measurement.

I understand that you may find it difficult to convert these units, so I added conversions in brackets for mm to inches. :)

As for spelling, the MoS allows either spelling; it just must be consistent within the entire article (MOS:RETAIN). So yeah, the spelling should be kept as "colour" as that is what already is in use in this article. Sevenstxrsquid 🌊 04:36, 8 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
