Talk:Metal Slug Anthology

Latest comment: 6 years ago by InternetArchiveBot in topic External links modified (January 2018)

Not the same as the PSP game.

edit

The PSP game is actually called Metal Slug Collection, and has 1-5 and X.

From the IGN article (which I'll link to in the Wiki page): "Fans worldwide have been looking forward to our return to Nintendo platforms and what better way then to bring our complete Metal Slug arcade collection to Wii," SNK Playmore USA Corporation president Ben Herman said in a statement.

So, the Wii collection may have Metal Slug 6 as well... maybe. --BPM 05:17, 3 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, but according to Ben Herman, MS 6 is not included:

"AMN: And Metal Slug 6 is not in the Anthology?

Ben Herman: It is not on the Anthology. It is in the arcades right now, it came out in February."

Sorry, but I'm getting a 404 from that link... if you can find me a reliable link where it says MS6 isn't in Anthology, then I'll believe it. But so far, everything I've read (including SNK Playmore's press release) states the complete arcade collection. --BPM 23:15, 2 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
Nevermind, I found the interview here. Well, I guess it's true then! Also, it seems as though the PSP game was renamed from Collection to Anthology... hmmm... --BPM 23:34, 2 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Both are "direct ports" of the same 6 arcade games and now have the same name. A merge? Frip 03:19, 11 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Bloody vapourware! Quit messing around with the blasted release date! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 199.247.235.10 (talkcontribs) 22:00, 3 December 2006 (UTC).Reply
What's seem the problem?
Anyway according to Gamestop, here are the official release:
PS2:12/19
PSP:12/19
Wii:12/14
However, I just read from cyberfanatix that MSA might be delayed again, but don't know which one. Nauto 05:00, 11 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

It's delayed because they are putting some of the games like they were deciding if they were going to put Metal Slug 6 or not. User:Anonymous 07:00 P.M. January 26 2007 (UTC)

I'm terribly sorry. I should have tried to remembered that when I was writing that down, it was still undergoing final production.

Who did that!!!

edit

Someone put that the PS2 version is a rumor or a hoax! This is not true! If you go to EB Games' website you can see the boxart and even Pre-Order the game if you are in the store. If I knew how to put the PS2 boxart I would put it up.--Josue Ramirez 04:42, 19 March 2007

It's gone from Pre-release to now shipping.

It's out now. -70.160.215.196 13:54, 1 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

I just added proff of PS2 release.

edit

But because I haven't used Wikipedia much, I may have done something wrong so can any official person help me?--Josue Ramirez 01:45, 30 March 2007 (UTC) Jramirez23Reply

Developers

edit

I know that the Wii version was developed by Terminal Reality. Who did the Ps2 and PSP version? Nauto 00:34, 15 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Ignition Entertainment did the PS2 version

The game also marks the return of SNK Playmore as a third-party developer for a Nintendo console since the NES era.

PS2 version has identical graphics to the original

edit

What about the other versions? what do they have? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.73.70.113 (talk) 02:27, 27 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

They all would have identical graphics as they all are direct ports, well I say all but I don't know about the PSP, some one check it out. 'The Ninjalemming' 18:09, 8 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

I notice a slight flickering on my TV, a kind of strobe effect, in the ps2 version. I've tried both regular PS2 A/V cables and component. There's also a bit of controller response time lag -- others have pointed this out as well.
Haven't played the Wii version or PSP. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.99.28.223 (talk) 22:03, 26 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Updating

edit

I updated the article to help, as no one else seemed to bothered about it. DOn't worry I'll try to continue editing it, untill it becomes at least a C class article, it is now about start class; so I'll change it. 'The Ninjalemming' 18:11, 8 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Actually, no, for now it is still stub; in a few days it might be start. 'The Ninjalemming' 18:15, 8 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
It's easily worth 'start' now. 'The Ninjalemming' 20:37, 11 March 2009 (UTC)|Reply
