CleanUp

I think there are some important informations missing that would help understand the article. Questions arise like: Where does Metamorpho come from, what are his powers, etc.

There might also be one mention somewhere of the fact that Metamorpho was a comedy book. The article currently reads like a history of an overwrought soap character, which Rex did not become until BATO (if that). Is there even a creator credit for Bob Haney and Ramona Fradon? Real-world facts are important to these characters. Also due is a mention of Rex's "hipster" slanging. Essentially the "origin" section should be changed to a description of the solo Silver Age book. Powers and Abilities

I notice a lot of other comic book character articles have seperate sections about this, so why not Rex? I mean, his powers are clearly quite complex and have wide potential. I'd do it myself but, although Rex is one of my favourite comic book heroes, I'm not all that familiar with his powers.

• I agree that this should be done. Shift

Shouldn't Shift get his own article? I mean, he was his own hero for some time and has been in more issues then a lot of characters that have their own pages. I mean, Inertia, Bart Allen's evil clone has his own page, why not Shift? User:002KFlash052 19:58, 22 June 2006

I agree. Even if Shift has apparently been remerged with Metamorpho he was a very important character to the latest incarnation of The Outsiders. I actually came to this article because I was looking for info on this character (specifically who created him)and got the redirect, which could have easily been a page all its own, only to find a brief paragraph that didn't tell me anything I wanted to know. If he is going to stay in this article he should at least get a little bit more. Like maybe a Superherobox.--Stranger Dan

Information re: time w/ JLE inaccurate.

Specifically the portion re: Grant Morrison's JLA. I would recommend fact checking the whole thing, but the glaring mistake is JLA #1 sited as the issue Metamorpho is interred a second time after being rendered inert. In actuality, he was rendered inert in #1 and interred for the first time in #5. His "return" was during Mark Waid's run on JLA. If no one else has the information readily at hand, I'll dig it out of my closet and edit it myself.

Copyvio

The first version that inserted the site appears to be this one, from nearly a year ago. There have been many positive edits since then (including the addition of the infobox) which shouldn't be rolled back. I've gone ahead and manually lopped out the material -- which means that the article is now in need of a lot of cleanup. Someone with more time may want to check the the user's contributions to see if there are any more copyvio problems. ~CS 23:13, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

Fictional history

I started the fictional history, with a bit on Shift, since that seems to be a big source of querys. The section needs to be expanded, and I would agree that Shift need his own page. I may return to this.

Question

Why isn't the evil, murderous Metamorpho of Superbuddies appereance not noteable? If an evil double (with a job at a strip club) that pounds on the real heroes isn't noteable, what in the name of crackers and mayonaisse is? Lots42 (talk) 00:52, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

Birds of Prey Appearance

Metamorpho appears in Issue #52 of Birds of Prey (well, in #51 too, but not quite as himself yet). I gave a brief synopsis of the appearance in the Simon Stagg article, but I don't know where this fits in with the comic book history. Silver-Age Angst

I seem to remember that the original Metamorpho, back in the Silver Age, spent a lot of time trying to return to his ordinary human form. (That was why he didn't want to be a full member of the JLA; he figured that a guy who spent all his time trying to stop having super-powers didn't really belong in a superhero organization full-time.) Shouldn't there be some reference to that on this page? (And to that famous nickname, "Rexy-Boy"?) -Agur bar Jacé (talk) 02:24, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

Origin Errors

I'd edit this myself, but out of a desire for self-preservation against sock puppet admin harassment, I'd like someone to volunteer to make a few corrections to the origin section. Specifically:

1) The meteorite that Rex was exposed to was not *the* Orb of Ra, but the parent meteorite from which the Orb of Ra was crafted from.

2) Rex and Sapphire had been dating/involved/fracking/whatever for a significant period of time prior to Stagg sending Rex in search of the Orb.

3) The Orb *was* recovered, and Stagg has used this to keep Rex under some semblance of control off and on over the 40 years the characters have been in print.
