Here are some extra links that can go into the dab once they have articles:

I disambiguated a mention of the TV station to Metropolis (TV) and added it back to the dab page (before I noticed this list on the discussion). If someone wants to remove it from the dab again go ahead.

Other possibilities for pages on the dab - culled from links to Metropolis found while disambiguating:

London Metropolis

edit

There doesn't appear to be an article about the "London Metropolis", an administration that commenced in 1855 as a forerunner to the County of London. The Metropolis is mentioned in many articles, but doesn't seem to have an article to itself. --Oldontarian (talk) 11:03, 12 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Places described as Metropolis

edit

It is not at all clear to me that the Metropolis article contains a list of places described as or known informally as (the) Metropolis as well as being about the concept of a large city. I added a note in the Places section to benefit others looking for places not mentioned in that section (which is only for places named Metropolis) but Hoof Hearted reverted it citing WP:DABPRIMARY. Rather than edit war about it I'd like other opinions about how best to help readers. Thryduulf (talk) 14:12, 27 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Does the Metropolis article contain a list of places known by the proper noun (the) Metropolis? I see New York City mentioned with a capital M, and would support including Nicknames of New York City here. London is described with a capital M, but London doesn't mention the Metropolis as an informal name. Every other place listed seems to be in the context of a large city. Do you have an example of a capital-M Metropolis is not covered in this DAB?
If you feel there are legitimate Metropolises missing from the Places section, and the "large city" definition at the primary topic is insufficient, I could live with expanding that definition to something like: "A metropolis is a large city or an informal name of some large cities." Could that be a compromise? Hoof Hearted (talk) 15:00, 27 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
