Box set
editThe trilogy was actually released as a box set. Take a look at Amazon's page for it: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000ASDFI6/qid=1152185686/sr=8-1/ref=pd_bbs_1/002-1024056-7666441?n=507846&s=dvd&v=glance I nought it today and it contains the SPECIAL EDITION version of El and Desperado and Once Upon A Time (since there was only one version of that ever released anyways).
Plus, the wiki page for Once Upon a Time in Mexico has information about how the trilogy actually doesn't fit well (ie: Moco and Bucho being the same guy despite Moco's death and the fact that they suddenly recognize eachother as being brothers) as well as actors being used again despite characters played in previous films being killed off. 75.4.19.73 11:38, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
motifs
editthe boy thing makes sense. But most of the rest of it is barely mentionable. It's also very very OR, so I'm deleting it. DurinsBane87 06:52, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
Requested move
edit- The following discussion is an archived discussion of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the proposal was no consensus to move the page, per the discussion below. Dekimasuよ! 04:31, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
This article should be renamed to Mexico (film series) to bring it inline with the naming convention pertaining to film series. Let's discuss. - LA @ 10:40, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
Survey
editPlease state whether or not you support the renaming of this article.
- Oppose - The convention is flawed. It appears to have no regard for artistic intentions. The name of the film series is referred to by its creators as the Mexico Trilogy, not just Mexico, and is clearly stated on the DVD box set for the film series. — WiseKwai 11:39, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

plot continuity?
editMaybe I'm missing something, as El Mariachi does end with the musician's hand being shot, and Desperado continues with that ... but, in El Mariachi Mucho is dead at the end. In Desperado, Bucho is alive.
WTF?
Can someone explain? — gogobera (talk) 02:14, 29 April 2014 (UTC)

Mexico Trilogy (franchise) → Mexico Trilogy – There's no other article on Wikipedia known as the Mexico Trilogy, so there's no reason to have "(franchise)" at the end of this page. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 02:39, 12 January 2021 (UTC)
- Support per nom.--Ortizesp (talk) 06:25, 12 January 2021 (UTC)
- Support per WP:PRECISE. This just reverts an undiscussed move from this past November. Station1 (talk) 06:54, 12 January 2021 (UTC)
- If there is other media per the move then a DAB page should be created at the base name unless this is the primary topic in which case I support. Crouch, Swale (talk) 10:16, 12 January 2021 (UTC)
