Body of Work
editI removed the material below and have stored it here on the talk page. It is pretty obvious to me that it has been lifted verbatim from IMDB, it's in the reversed chronological order to Wikipedia style, and the importation has created formatting problems that would take me an hour to resolve. Plus, frankly, it repeats quite a bit of what's written in prose in the article and the remainder is cruft. If someone cares to reformat this and make it oldest-to-newest, go right ahead. Australian award show
editIs the piece about his speech at an Australian award show 45 years ago relevant? I took out one word but it seems the whole thing is too minor to be included in the articleDecembermonday (talk) 19:05, 22 March 2018 (UTC)
Year of Birth
editMost sources give 1945 as his year of birth. But only a few sources are now listing 1940, that appears erroneous.
If anyone has exact proof, please bring to attention. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.65.13.168 (talk) 03:40, 11 June 2020 (UTC)
Birth year
editMichael Cole was born in 1940 not 1945. The source we are using is Cole's autobiography and I see no reason why he would falsify his birth date, let alone add five years onto his age! What we really need is a reliable secondary source but the incorrect year seems to have been circulated widely so this might be a futile exercise. This source doesn't look very convincing, has hardly any information in it, has probably picked up the incorrect birth year from another unreliable source. NNDB is an aggregator site that has also probably picked up the incorrect date from elsewhere. This is a circular wiki source so cannot be used, but highlights that his birth year is incorrectly shown on the July 3 wiki page. We need to stick with 1940 and correct the related wiki pages (also Michael Cole dab page). Rodney Baggins (talk) 08:11, 16 June 2020 (UTC)
Henry Bowers mix-up
editThis person was 50 when It (miniseries) came out. He could not have played the teenage Henry Bowers. Was there a mix-up between two actors or something? שונרא (talk) 20:37, 19 February 2022 (UTC)
