Please remove "However, Christopher Steele, the British ex-spy was reported to be a friend of Donald's Trump eldest daughter, Ivanka, for several years by several news organizations, and Ivanka met with Steele about employing him to do work for the Trump Organization, so apparently if Steele was bias he probably was in favor of Trump, not against him, but Steele states that in his line of business being bias in favor of anyone would damage the reputation of his information gathering business." from article/section as it is not pertinent or informative to the subject. I appears to be a biased addition in retaliation to the criticism of the validity of the Steele dossier, as well as the damaging findings of IG Horowitz's report. Review of FISA applications, will need work on wording; add here &/or ... ?

The DoJ IG found errors in FBI applications to conduct secret surveillance. Horowitz reviewed 29 FISA applications — submitted between October 2014 and September 2019 — and found problems with all of them. The office said it found an average of about 20 issues per application, including one application with about 65 issues.

Michael Horowitz, the inspector general of the Department of Justice, told House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., and Ranking Member Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, that he would consider launching an investigation into whether the FBI retaliated against agents who attended the Jan. 6, 2021, protest at the U.S. Capitol but who did not enter the building with rioters.

Jordan, citing FBI whistleblowers, urged Horowitz last month to investigate whistleblower claims that "the FBI is suspending the security clearances of FBI employees for their participation in protected First Amendment activity on January 6, 2021." Since a security clearance is required for FBI positions, "these actions mean the FBI has suspended these employees indefinitely."

Horowitz, in a May 4 letter obtained first by Fox News Digital, stopped short of pledging to launch an investigation into the issue, but he did say he would reach out to the FBI and consider whether to open an investigation. "In view of the concern you have raised, we will ask the FBI to provide the bases for the security clearance and personnel actions taken against the employees you reference in your letter," Horowitz said in his letter Wednesday. "Based on the information we receive, we will assess whether to conduct a further review."
